It was a pleasure to photograph for this awesome sunglass company, who focuses on making high quality sunglasses out of sustainable materials, Kosso wood from South Africa, Zebrawood from Central America, Annato wood from South America and Bamboo-boo from China. I own a pair of their bamboo shades and beyond being polarized and super light, they float in water! You can be cool like me by buying them online at BadSpade.com. As far as the tools I used to execute this look, I went with a Nikon D4, 24-70mm f/2.8 G, 70-200mm f/2.8 VRII, 45mm f/2.8 PC-E, 2 strobes, white beauty dish on a boom, a large silver parabolic umbrella and a large white handheld reflector.

This was my first real venture into fashion photography, mostly because of the stigma I put on fashion photographers being creepy… lol I pushed myself out of my comfort zone to produce this shoot because Jai’s Fashion Lounge events always sets a safe and friendly vibe. I must say, I enjoyed the experience of both working with the models and playing with all the lighting. I hope I get to do it again soon. Special thanks goes out to Sam Spade who served as my kick ass photo assistant, Leslie Rossetti, my chosen retoucher who did a wonderful job of walking the tight rope between retouching out all the flaws and keeping my images looking real, Nigel John for his custom mix, and to Dennis Liddy and Coralie Claeysen-Gleyzon for their trust and support. Thank You! Below are diagrams of my setups. If the video doesn’t load, refresh your screen and it should.
