Jim Harnish enlisted in the Air Force in 1949 where he worked as an aircraft and engine mechanic as well as a crew chief for various types of aircrafts. After being honorably discharged, Harnish joined the Army in 1957 where he served in the intelligence community until he retired in 1975. Following his military career, Harnish served as a Service Officer for the DAV-Chapter 109 in Titusville, Florida for the past 20 years.
We flew out of the Warbirds Museum at the Space Coast Regional Airport.
Imagine what it was like to have this view during a wartime situation!
